Open Minds convenes grid leaders at Stanford
On April 15, Open Minds hosted the OM26: Grid Vision meeting at Stanford, bringing together leaders from across energy, technology, policy, and finance to discuss and identify practical actions to accelerate implementation of solutions for a more reliable, affordable, and modern electric power system. I was fortunate to participate in the Bring Your Own Capacity - this was an incredible panel focused on better understanding the energy demand for AI and data centers, but even more so, to understand real solutions that can be deployed now to meet such demand. Given the large demands for energy for AI we really need immediate solutions to scale, and a recognition that the solutions will differ across the country, with different technologies, system, policies and market designs being required. Thank you Lon, Pier, Jessica, and OpenMinds for a wonderful discussion!
